Remote creative writing refers to the practice of producing original written content, such as stories, poems, or scripts, from a location outside of a traditional office—often from home or any place with internet access. Creative writers use their imagination and language skills to craft engaging narratives or expressive works, collaborating with clients or publishers online. This flexible work arrangement allows writers to manage their schedules and work with organizations or clients globally. Remote creative writing can include freelance projects, content creation, and contributions to books, magazines, or websites.

How do remote creative writers typically collaborate with editors and other team members while working from home?

Remote creative writers often use collaboration tools like Slack, Google Docs, or project management platforms to stay connected with editors and team members. Regular check-ins, virtual meetings, and shared documents help ensure clear communication regarding project goals, deadlines, and feedback. Writers may also participate in brainstorming sessions or peer reviews online, which fosters a sense of teamwork even when working independently. Adapting to different communication styles and being proactive in seeking feedback are key to thriving in a remote creative writing role.

Job description

About the Company

We are a fast-growing, cloud-based software company providing real-time asset management, property management, data analytics, and automation solutions for commercial real estate owners, operators, and managers. As our customer base expands rapidly, we are seeking a driven, self-directed sales professional to close incoming leads, hunt new business, build pipeline, and accelerate our market growth.

Position Overview

We are looking for an A-player with true hustle—someone who sees opportunities where others see obstacles and takes complete ownership of their role. This is not a job for an average account manager; we need a builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces ambiguity, routinely beats quota, and is obsessed with discovering creative ways to connect with prospective decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue: Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
  • Prospect & Hunt: Proactively identify, target, and prospect new client accounts across multiple outbound channels (cold calling, personalized email sequences, LinkedIn messaging, and direct outreach).
  • Manage Pipeline: Track and manage prospects through multi-touch engagement campaigns, ensuring timely follow-ups so no opportunities slip through the cracks.
  • Analyze & Adapt: Evaluate outreach data and experiment with messaging to continuously optimize response rates and conversion metrics.
  • Manage and close incoming leads: Reach out, identify need, offer solutions, set up demo's and close deals.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Proven Track Record: Previous inside, phone or tel sales and need to be comfortable working from home, managing your own schedule.
  • Multi-Channel Prospecting Skills: Hands-on experience managing cold call lists, running multi-touch sequences, and leveraging social selling platforms.
  • Self-Starter Mindset: Proactive ability to spot needs, take initiative, and execute without waiting for direction.
  • Resilience & Growth Orientation: Ability to take rejection in stride, view challenges as learning opportunities, and share constructive feedback with the team.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex SaaS value propositions clearly.
  • Organization & Detail: Superior organizational skills to manage multi-step campaigns, demo's, and prompt prospect follow-ups.
  • Remote Setup: A quiet, dedicated home office space with reliable high-speed internet and proficiency in modern tech stack tools (Zoom, Slack, CRM platforms).

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

  • Background in SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) sales.
  • Industry experience in Commercial Real Estate, Property Management, or Real Estate Technology.
  • Familiarity with accounting, bookkeeping, QuickBooks or financial software.
  • Experience incorporating AI tools and automation into daily sales workflows.
  • General understanding of how software products are built.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Base Salary + Uncapped Commission / Residuals ($70,000–$80,000 base range)
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • 100% Remote/Work from Home
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO)
