Connected Minds Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This role is entirely remote, allowing you to create a flexible work-life balance while engaging with clients through innovative telehealth practices. You will operate within a collaborative team that values open communication and robust professional growth. We utilize state-of-the-art electronic health record systems, including Valant, to streamline documentation and enhance client care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions, developing personalized treatment plans that align with the needs of each client.
  • Maintain an active caseload of at least 27 client visits per week, ensuring consistent and high-quality therapeutic support.
  • Utilize creative intervention strategies to engage clients and help them achieve their therapeutic goals, tailoring your approach to facilitate breakthroughs and foster growth.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including assessments and case notes, in compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate care with various stakeholders, including case managers, medical personnel, and education staff, ensuring holistic support for your clients.
  • Participate actively in clinical staff meetings and ongoing training sessions to continuously improve your skills and contribute to team advancement.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive team environment, documenting best practices and sharing insights on client care and team dynamics.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clinical work will primarily focus on children, adolescents, and their families, many of whom may be navigating complex issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. We prioritize culturally competent care, welcoming clients from diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ populations.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current LMFT licensure in the state of Illinois.
  • Proven experience in clinical documentation and the creation of treatment plans and assessments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Ability to manage documentation efficiently and appropriately while maintaining client confidentiality and privacy standards.
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries with clients in therapeutic settings.
  • Experience working with a diverse client population and adeptness in culturally responsive therapy approaches.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 and Electronic Health Record systems; prior Valant experience is a plus.
  • Successful completion of a background check prior to employment.
