We areseeking an intellectually curiousย Data Analytics Developerย inany of our locations with experience in data management and statisticalprogramming for data analytic and research projects in the Education andEmployment area. The Data Analytics Developer will contribute to intensive datawrangling, advanced programming, administrative data collection and/or datamanagement tasks. They will also apply knowledge of programs, policy, and/ordata content, as well as econometric and statistical methods, when theyacquire, clean, manipulate, manage, and analyze data. These tasks will mostoften be accomplished using a combination of statistical programming packageslike R and Stata, as well as SQL and Python, on both cloud-hosted and moretraditional platforms. Individuals with an interest in confronting thechallenges of working with large, complex data sets, an interest in datamanipulation and analysis, and a desire to become a subject matter expert in educationand employment data are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Write programs in R, Stata, or Python to extract, transform, and wrangle data; create variables for use in analysis.
  • Perform statistical analyses and prepare tables, graphs, and visualizations
  • Providing creative and best practice solutions for data processing optimization
  • Ensuring data quality through all stages of data processing with rigorous quality control
  • Iteratively informing requirements and specifications, which will include articulating findings and working with researchers to adjust specifications and code as interim results are found
