As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Great Lakes Psychotherapy Services, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Provide consultation on pre-crisis and crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and medication treatment plans.
• Document client interactions and treatment plans promptly, meeting all regulatory standards to ensure compliance.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools as directed by the clinical team to effectively assess client needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement positive behavior support plans, ensuring holistic care.
• Engage in the licensing and accreditation processes, actively participating in meetings and training sessions.
• Serve as a key liaison to state agencies, community partners, and relevant service systems, enhancing collaboration and resource sharing.
• Build and maintain relationships with local, state, federal, and private organizations to promote our programs and identify new partnerships.
• Participate in activities that foster personal and professional growth, including attending industry conferences and representing the agency at meetings.

Your work will focus on diverse populations, including individuals facing mental health challenges, those recovering from substance use disorders, and clients with developmental disabilities or brain injuries. As a cornerstone of our mental health services, you will guide clients through therapeutic processes, ensuring they receive tailored support that respects their unique histories and aspirations.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field.
• An independent LMHC license issued by the state board in Washington.
• Proven ability to maintain detailed clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Expertise in working collaboratively within interdisciplinary team settings.
• Strong effective communication skills that enable clear expression of ideas.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make independent decisions grounded in professional knowledge.

While not mandatory, experience in outpatient mental health counseling, familiarity with community mental health resources, and engagement in ongoing professional education are preferred. Knowledge of evidence-based practices and experience facilitating individual and group therapy sessions will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
