Remote Craft Service information

How does a remote craft service professional coordinate and deliver refreshments to distributed teams during virtual productions?

As a remote craft service professional, you typically work closely with production managers and coordinators to assess the team's needs and preferences. You may arrange for snack boxes, beverages, or meal deliveries to be sent directly to team members' locations, often using catering services or delivery platforms. Communication and organization are key, as you must manage dietary restrictions, delivery schedules, and budget constraints while ensuring everyone receives timely refreshments. This role offers unique challenges compared to traditional on-site craft services, requiring adaptability and strong logistical planning.

How can I make 2000 a week working from home?

A remote craft service worker can increase earnings by building a strong client base, offering specialized or high-demand craft services, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Developing skills in niche crafts, maintaining a professional online presence, and efficiently scheduling work can help reach higher weekly income targets.

What are remote craft service jobs?

Remote craft service jobs involve providing food, snacks, and beverages to cast and crew members on film, television, or commercial shoots, but the services are coordinated off-site rather than on set. This remote approach became popular during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing craft service providers to prepare and individually package items in a separate location and then deliver them safely to the production location. The goal is to maintain health standards while still supporting the needs of the crew. Remote craft service workers may handle menu planning, food preparation, packaging, and logistics for delivery.

How to make $1000 a week remote?

A remote craft service worker can earn $1000 a week by securing multiple clients or contracts, often through freelance platforms or direct outreach. Building a strong portfolio, developing efficient workflows, and gaining experience with relevant tools can increase earning potential. Consistent scheduling and excellent service quality are key to maintaining high income levels.

What creative jobs can I do from home?

A remote craft service role involves preparing and providing craft services on film or photo shoots from home, often requiring organizational skills and knowledge of food safety. Other creative jobs from home include graphic design, writing, illustration, digital marketing, and video editing, which typically require specific skills and software proficiency. These roles often offer flexible schedules and can be performed with a computer and internet connection.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Craft Service professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Craft Service professional, you need knowledge of food safety, inventory management, and basic culinary skills, typically supported by experience in food service or hospitality. Familiarity with online ordering platforms, delivery coordination tools, and food handling certifications is often required. Excellent communication, organizational abilities, and attention to detail help ensure smooth logistics and client satisfaction. These skills are crucial for providing timely, safe, and high-quality food services to remote production teams.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

A remote craft service role typically does not pay $4,000 a week without specialized experience or high-level responsibilities. High-paying jobs that can reach this level without a degree often include skilled trades like commercial fishing, certain sales positions, or freelance work such as consulting or digital marketing, which require relevant skills and experience. Most roles offering such income levels demand significant expertise, a strong work ethic, or entrepreneurial effort.

What is the difference between Remote Craft Service vs Remote Set Packer?

Work EnvironmentFilm/TV production sets, cateringFilm/TV production sets, equipment setup
Industry UsageCommonly hired for catering and craft services rolesHired for set packing and equipment organization

Remote Craft Service and Remote Set Packer roles both operate within the film and television industry, often on production sets. Craft service focuses on providing food and beverages, requiring catering experience, while set packers handle equipment and set organization. Both roles may be remote in terms of planning or coordination but are primarily on-site during production. Understanding these differences helps job seekers target the right position based on their skills and experience.

Canopy, South Jordan, UT

About Us

Canopy is a fast-growing SaaS company in South Jordan, Utah building simple, powerful software for accounting firms. We're on a mission to help accountants build an autonomous firm - giving them back the time and tools they need to focus on what matters most: their clients.

We believe the accounting industry deserves world-class software, and we're building exactly that. Our Practice Management Suite is purpose-built for firms that want to work smarter, grow faster, and deliver more value to the people they serve. We place a strong emphasis on delighting our customers, spotting and solving problems, and being good people along the way.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a QA Automation Tech Lead with a high-level engineering pedigree to spearhead the evolution of our quality infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the technical authority for automation across the organization while acting as the QA Automation Engineer on our Platform Squad.

Your mission is two-fold: building the foundational infrastructure that enables other squads to scale, and pioneering AI-driven tooling that empowers our manual QA engineers to transition into automation seamlessly. You won't just be maintaining a framework; you will be architecting a self-service quality ecosystem.

This position is remote eligible for candidates who currently reside in Utah.

What You'll DoStrategic Leadership & Platform Engineering
  • Architect & Innovate: Serve as the Lead IC for the Platform Squad, designing and scaling global automation infrastructure that other product squads consume.
  • AI Tooling Development: Build and deploy internal agentic AI tools and wrappers designed to lower the barrier to entry for manual QA engineers, enabling them to generate and maintain automated tests autonomously.
  • Technical Mentorship: Provide high-level guidance and code reviews for QA engineers across the company, establishing "Golden Paths" for automation excellence.
Framework & API Engineering
  • Next-Gen Frameworks: Overhaul and scale our Python/Pytest frameworks to support high-concurrency, multi-tenant environments and complex CI/CD integrations.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Work closely with DevOps to ensure testing environments are ephemeral, scalable, and integrated into the deployment pipeline via GitHub Actions.
  • Advanced API Validation: Move beyond standard assertions to build deep-level API validation suites and maintain centralized Postman collections for cross-team use.
Agile & Data Strategy
  • Data Engineering for QA: Craft complex SQL scripts and data generation utilities to simulate production-grade data across our testing environments.
  • Observability: Leverage Datadog and other monitoring tools to implement "Shift-Right" testing strategies, using production telemetry to inform automation priorities.
What We're Looking For
  • Leadership Experience: 6+ years in QA Automation with at least 1-2 years in a Lead or Staff capacity, specifically influencing technical direction or managing large-scale projects.
  • Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Python. You should be comfortable building custom libraries, wrappers, and CLI tools from scratch.
  • UI Automation Craftsmanship: Hands-on experience with modern UI testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium). You write stable, deterministic tests and treat maintainability and low flakiness as first-class engineering concerns.
  • AI/ML Enthusiast: Hands-on experience (or deep technical projects) involving LLM integration or agentic AI to solve engineering bottlenecks.
  • Database Depth: Strong ability to write complex SQL queries and understand relational database architecture.
  • Platform Mindset: Experience building infrastructure for other engineers. You understand that your "customers" are often the developers and QA peers in other squads.
  • Communication: The ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable roadmaps for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Points
  • Cloud Native: Deep experience with AWS (Lambda, RDS, S3) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • DevOps Savvy: Experience building custom GitHub Actions or complex CI/CD workflows.
  • Data Pipelines: Familiarity with validating data warehouses (Snowflake/BigQuery) or ETL pipelines.
  • Open Source: Contributions to testing frameworks or AI-related open-source projects.

Note to Candidates: This is a high-impact role for an engineer who loves to code but wants the responsibility of shaping the future of quality at a platform level. If you prefer building tools over just writing test scripts, we want to talk to you.

We know many women do not apply for a job if they don't perfectly fit the description. We want you to apply anyway.
