Remote CPhTs leverage technology to perform many of the same tasks as in-person pharmacy technicians, offering flexibility to both employees and employers. This role is increasingly popular in mail-order pharmacies, telepharmacy services, and pharmacy benefit management companies. Remote CPhTs must still hold valid certification and licensure in their state and comply with all relevant regulations.

To thrive as a Remote Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), you need a solid understanding of pharmacy operations, medication safety, and must hold an active CPhT certification. Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, e-prescribing platforms, and HIPAA-compliant communication tools is crucial.
