The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will engage in a variety of responsibilities aimed at improving client outcomes:

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to determine clients' mental health status and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities to provide effective treatment.

• Employ active listening and diagnostic skills to help clients recognize and address their mental health concerns.

• Work collaboratively with clients to establish therapeutic goals and provide them with tools and strategies to overcome their challenges.

• Make referrals to psychiatrists and other healthcare providers as needed to ensure holistic care.

• Document interactions accurately within our electronic health records (EHR) system to maintain compliance with health regulations and ensure continuity of care.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology, from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid state license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• A minimum of two years of related professional experience in a mental health counseling role.

• A thorough understanding of various mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Proficiency in delivering individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating culturally competent strategies.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and the capacity to remain composed during high-stress situations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Experience with EHR systems and relevant computer applications.

Preference will be given to candidates with specific experiences, including:

• Previous work with substance use disorders or complex psychological conditions.

• Experience in a multidisciplinary team setting, collaborating with other providers to achieve optimal client outcomes.

• Advanced training in specialized therapeutic techniques or certifications.
