As a remote counselor, you will utilize our state-of-the-art telehealth technology, which facilitates effective communication and enables you to connect with clients seamlessly. • Conduct thorough assessments and interviews with clients to evaluate their mental health status and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities that align with the latest clinical guidelines and adapting your approach based on the cultural contexts of your clients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring confidentiality and upholding ethical practices in all reporting.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers.
• Deliver crisis intervention services as needed, using your strong assessment skills to identify risk factors and implement appropriate safety plans.
• Continuously engage in professional development by attending workshops, training sessions, and meetings designed to enhance your clinical expertise and cultural competence.

At Brain Builders Counseling Center, you will work with a varied clientele experiencing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, necessitating an understanding of different cultural contexts and sensitivity in therapeutic approaches. Your role is critical in providing the support and resources needed to help clients achieve their mental health goals.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• A minimum of four years of relevant work experience in the mental health field, demonstrating a strong foundation in clinical settings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities, including culturally responsive and trauma-informed care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient and accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans.
• A strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining client confidentiality in all aspects of your work.

Experience working in outpatient settings and providing both individual and group therapy is preferred. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic theory, will be advantageous in addressing diverse client needs effectively. Proficiency in crisis management and intervention techniques is also highly desired.
