Mountain Springs Wellness & Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our expanding team. This full-time remote position focuses on providing essential mental health support through telehealth services. At Mountain Springs Wellness & Counseling Services, located in Mesquite, Texas, we have evolved into a comprehensive healthcare clinic that incorporates a wide range of services, including obstetrics, pediatrics, general medicine, family planning, and dentistry. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), our mission is to serve vulnerable populations, addressing multiple social issues that impact our community. As a remote counselor working within a telehealth framework, you will have the opportunity to provide mental health services from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. While you will work independently, you will also collaborate closely with our primary care teams via virtual meetings and communication tools. • Engage in patient intake sessions to conduct diagnostic assessments and functional evaluations, advising primary care providers on treatment goals and plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to recognize and address mental health and psychosocial issues, ensuring patients receive integrated care.
• Provide brief, evidence-based interventions for clients experiencing mental health challenges, fostering recovery through therapeutic techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and outcomes, initiating follow-ups to evaluate treatment efficacy and make necessary adjustments.
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with clinical guidelines and regulations.
• Develop relapse prevention strategies and support patients in making sustainable lifestyle changes that promote overall health and stability.
• Advise and educate patients on self-management skills and the importance of adhering to treatment recommendations.
• Consult with clinic management and team members to evaluate behavioral health services and program outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical standards in counseling practices, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out other duties as assigned to contribute to the goals of the organization and improve patient outcomes.

The clients you will serve encompass a wide range of backgrounds, including children, adults, and families struggling with various mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to behavioral disorders and adjustment difficulties. As part of an FQHC, your work will have a direct impact on underserved communities, allowing you to make a significant difference in their lives.

• Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in the state of Texas.
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health assessment, treatment planning, and psychodiagnostics, including familiarity with DSM-IV diagnoses.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, healthcare providers, and community resources.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong documentation capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to develop treatment plans and assess patients' progress towards achieving their mental health goals.

• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Experience in a telehealth setting or within an integrated healthcare model is a plus.
• Familiarity with specific populations, including trauma-informed care approaches, is advantageous.

The annual salary range for this role is USD 87,000 – 105,000, commensurate with experience and education.
