As a remote counselor within a Detox Center setting, you will connect with clients via telehealth platforms, ensuring their safety and comfort while providing essential therapeutic support. Despite the remote nature of this role, you will cultivate meaningful relationships through active listening, empathy, and client-focused interactions.

• Establish and maintain meaningful connections with clients by providing a safe and supportive environment for discussion and exploration of personal challenges.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients identify and overcome barriers to recovery, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.
• Engage in thorough assessments and diagnostics, crafting personalized treatment plans in collaboration with each client to meet their individual needs.
• Participate in regular team meetings with a diverse group of healthcare professionals to discuss client progress, share insights, and refine treatment approaches for holistic care.
• Remain committed to professional development by attending training sessions, workshops, and conferences, enhancing your skills, and keeping up-to-date with best practices in the field.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, treatment plans, and progress reports while adhering to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

You will work primarily with clients in the early stages of recovery from substance use disorders. Our clientele includes individuals from diverse backgrounds who may be experiencing co-occurring mental health issues alongside their addictions. Bringing empathy, patience, and understanding is crucial, as many clients may struggle with trust and vulnerability in their therapeutic journeys.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Current Licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated by a minimum of two years of professional counseling experience.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, necessary for documentation and communication.

• Five or more years of experience as an LPCC, particularly within a detox or addiction treatment environment.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling methods is highly desirable.
• Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competency in counseling.

• Attractive annual salary range of $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
