Job description

We are a 3rd-party independent cost consultant who works with A/E firms, Developers, and Owners to produce cost estimates at each phase of design. We also have additional services such as Scheduling, Value Engineering, Program Management, and Construction support services. We are seeking a Cost Manager to join our existing team.

The Cost Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial aspects of construction projects within a medium-sized team of 4-7 members. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this position focuses on accurate cost estimation, reporting, and control to ensure projects remain within budget without compromising quality. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to collaborate with stakeholders and support project success. No travel is required for this position, and there are opportunities to advance into a Senior Cost Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed cost estimation for construction projects
  • Generate regular cost reports to track project budget status
  • Implement cost control measures to prevent budget overruns
  • Conduct quantity take-offs to support accurate cost calculations
