  • Appear on camera or conduct on-camera interviews as needed; bring energy and clarity on screen.
  • Write engaging captions tailored to each platform’s best practices and trends.
  • Publish content and help manage a simple content calendar.
  • Track performance with native analytics; summarize learnings and iterate.
  • Coordinate with local businesses for filming logistics, permissions, and releases; follow brand/content guidelines.
  • Create basic still graphics and thumbnails in Canva.
  • Maintain organized media libraries (naming, storage, asset handoff).
  • Practice accessibility-first publishing (captions, contrast, alt text).

  • You are a recent college graduate or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in the United States.
  • You currently reside in NYC, have reliable transportation options, and are at least 21 years of age.
  • You have the ability to work up to 12 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • A portfolio or links to short-form videos you’ve shot/edited (TikTok, IG Reels, or YouTube Shorts).
  • Comfortable appearing on camera and/or interviewing others on camera.
  • Proficiency with a mobile editor (e.g., CapCut) or desktop tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Rush).
  • Strong grasp of social trends, hooks, native features, and basic SEO for social.
  • Clear copywriting, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through on deadlines.
  • Professionalism with business owners and the public; able to work independently in the field, including occasional evenings/weekends.

    Nice to have

    • Basic design sense (typography, color, layout).
    • Photography, light motion graphics, or experience with creators/community features.

Compensation range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour.
