nenos is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building a more ethical digital future through social connection and digital literacy. We're developing a nonprofit, ad-free social media platform, and Digital Roots, a digital literacy education program focused on cybersecurity, media awareness, and tech-for-good learning.

We're a mission-driven startup run by passionate volunteers and we're looking for someone equally motivated to lead our marketing and communications efforts.

About the Role

We're seeking a volunteer Marketing & Communications Director to oversee our digital voice and creative presence. You'll manage a small team of volunteers handling copywriting, publishing, and graphic design, ensuring that everything we publish aligns with our brand and vision.

You'll work closely with the CEO and to shape messaging, improve outreach, and grow public awareness of nenos and its offerings. This is a leadership-level, remote volunteer position ideal for someone who wants to give back through mission-aligned tech work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support volunteer writers, designers, and content creators
  • Coordinate copy and graphic asset production across channels (social, website, email, blog)
  • Refine and uphold brand guidelines, voice, and tone
