Remote Coordinator Part Time information

What is a Remote Coordinator Part Time?

A Remote Coordinator Part Time is a professional who manages tasks, schedules, or projects for a team or organization while working remotely and on a part-time basis. Their responsibilities often include coordinating communications, organizing meetings, tracking project progress, and ensuring team members stay aligned with goals. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work hours and the ability to work from anywhere. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills are essential for success in this position.

What are the typical communication tools and strategies used by part-time remote coordinators to stay connected with their teams?

Part-time remote coordinators typically rely on a combination of digital communication tools such as email, instant messaging platforms (like Slack or Microsoft Teams), and video conferencing software (such as Zoom or Google Meet) to maintain effective collaboration with their teams. They often establish regular check-ins or virtual stand-up meetings to stay updated on project progress and address any challenges. Clear documentation and shared project management tools (like Trello or Asana) are also essential for keeping everyone aligned, especially when working across different time zones or schedules.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Coordinator Part Time, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Coordinator Part Time, you need strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and experience with remote collaboration, often supported by a background in administration or project coordination. Familiarity with project management tools like Asana or Trello, video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, and cloud-based file management systems is typically required. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills help you excel in virtual environments and manage tasks independently. These abilities ensure efficient coordination, smooth remote operations, and effective team collaboration despite working part time and off-site.

Job description

Part-Time Accountant (Remote)
Reports to:Accounting Manager
Schedule:Part-time, 2030 hours/week during normal business hours
Location:Fully remote
About us
We're a remote accounting firm that works exclusively in bookkeeping and Controller services for growing small businesses. No tax prep, no audits. That focus is intentional. It means our clients get accountants who actually know their books, and our team gets to do meaningful work without the seasonal grind that comes with tax season.
We're a collaborative group, our clients stick with us for the long haul, and the work-life balance is real.
What you'll do
You'll own the day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of small business clients. That includes:
  • Recording financial transactions in the client's accounting software
  • Reconciling bank and credit card statements
  • Processing AP and AR
  • Producing monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Maintaining the general ledger
  • Supporting the client's CPA at year-end for tax prep
  • Coordinating with payroll providers when applicable
  • Communicating directly with clients to flag discrepancies or share updates
  • Providing audit support when needed

You'll be the primary point of contact for your clients, so the relationship matters as much as the numbers.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience for small businesses, including monthly close and financial reporting
  • 1+ year using accounting software in a professional setting
  • QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Level 1 certification
  • Comfortable working 2030 hours per week during regular business hours
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience working remotely on a team where trust and follow-through carry the relationship
  • Discretion when handling confidential client data
  • Genuine willingness to learn new tech as our tools evolve

Working setup
This role is fully remote. You'll need a dedicated workspace, free from distractions, and reliable high-speed internet. Hours are scheduled in agreement with your manager based on client needs.
