This role is performed in a climate-controlled, remote setting, allowing for flexibility and convenience while maintaining high standards of mental health care. The position requires daily virtual communication and collaboration with various healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient treatment. The digital landscape we operate within leverages advanced technology for efficient record-keeping, patient interaction, and access to mental health resources.

• Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations for patients, ensuring a tailored approach to each individual’s mental health needs. Utilize tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders as part of the evaluation process.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with clearly outlined goals, objectives, and interventions that align with the cultural diversity of the patient population.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies and interventions to better support patients' mental health and recovery journeys.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment records, and reports accurately and timely, adhering to regulatory requirements and internal department protocols using electronic health record systems.
• Facilitate collaborative treatment planning by working closely with patients and their families, ensuring that the agreed-upon care is patient-centered and aligns with their values and goals.
• Coordinate with external providers and agencies, serving as a vital link between patients and additional resources or referrals to enhance continuity of care.
• Contribute to fostering a learning environment by mentoring students, interns, and other healthcare trainees, sharing knowledge and best practices in clinical social work.
• Engage in clinical collaboration and peer consultations under the guidance of the clinical supervisor to promote team development and continuous improvement.

This position primarily focuses on individuals and families affected by cancer diagnoses, providing emotional support and resources tailored to assist patients through their struggles. Your work will involve understanding the unique mental health challenges faced by this patient demographic, such as anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues, and addressing these through comprehensive therapeutic interventions.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid State License as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
• Strong understanding of mental health diagnoses and treatment methodologies.

• Experience working with oncology patients or healthcare professionals in a similar setting is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and virtual therapy platforms.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapies and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Our competitive salary range for this position is USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.
