Remote Contract Epic Analyst information

What is a remote contract Epic Analyst?

A Remote Contract Epic Analyst is a healthcare IT professional who specializes in configuring, optimizing, and supporting the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system on a contractual basis. They work remotely, collaborating with healthcare organizations to analyze workflows, implement system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and provide training, all while ensuring compliance with industry standards. These analysts are typically certified in one or more Epic modules and play a crucial role in helping organizations maximize their use of the Epic platform without being onsite full-time.

How does a remote contract Epic Analyst typically collaborate with on-site teams to ensure successful project delivery?

As a Remote Contract Epic Analyst, effective collaboration with on-site teams is crucial and is usually achieved through daily virtual meetings, shared project management tools, and clear documentation. You’ll often participate in video conferences, coordinate with clinical and IT stakeholders, and use platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Slack for real-time communication. Strong interpersonal skills and proactive communication are essential to bridge any gaps due to physical distance and to ensure requirements are accurately gathered, workflows are validated, and project timelines are met. It’s common to work closely with both technical teams and end-users to address issues, provide support, and implement updates.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote contract Epic Analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Contract Epic Analyst, you need expertise in healthcare IT, a deep understanding of Epic EHR systems, and experience with system configuration or optimization, often supported by Epic certification. Familiarity with technical tools such as Epic modules (like EpicCare, Ambulatory, or Inpatient), ticketing systems, and remote communication platforms is common. Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills help you excel in a remote and collaborative environment. These competencies ensure efficient system support, user satisfaction, and successful project delivery in healthcare organizations.

Job description

Fusion HCR is Hiring!

Position: Salesforce Business Systems Analyst – CPQ
Location: Las Vegas, NV Preferred (Onsite/Hybrid) | Open to Remote — PST Time Zone Only
Type: Contract (6–12 Months, Contract-to-Hire Option Available)
Industry: Technology

Position Overview
Fusion HCR is seeking a Salesforce Business Systems Analyst to support key initiatives within a Lead-to-Cash transformation for a growing organization. This role will be responsible for gathering requirements, translating business needs into user stories, supporting solution enhancements across Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, and Revenue Cloud, and assisting with configuration and troubleshooting for end users.

This is a hands-on role partnering closely with business stakeholders, Salesforce administrators, and technical teams to improve workflow efficiency, quoting processes, pricing configuration, and revenue recognition. Excellent communication skills are essential — this role requires someone who can clearly and confidently articulate requirements, processes, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Liaison

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and Salesforce technical teams
  • Write clear and concise user stories, business requirements, acceptance criteria, and feature definitions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales Operations, Finance, Revenue, and IT

CPQ & Revenue Cloud Support

  • Support the Lead-to-Cash process including quoting, pricing, approvals, contract management, billing, and revenue recognition workflows
  • Work within Salesforce CPQ to support configuration, quoting rules, bundle structures, approvals, and quote generation
  • Assist in implementing and optimizing Revenue Cloud solutions

Configuration & Troubleshooting

  • Perform hands-on configuration where needed (e.g., page layouts, fields, flows, reports)
  • Troubleshoot user issues, process gaps, integration challenges, and data discrepancies
  • Be comfortable performing approximately 10-15% Salesforce Admin-level work as part of regular responsibilities

Agile Collaboration

  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release activities in an Agile environment

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst supporting enterprise Salesforce environments
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ including quote configuration, pricing logic, approvals, and product modeling
  • Strong understanding of Lead-to-Cash or Quote-to-Cash processes
  • Ability to write user stories, requirements, workflows, and documentation
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills — must be able to clearly explain complex processes and requirements
  • Willingness to perform Salesforce Admin-level configuration work (approximately 10-15% of role) — candidates unwilling to do this work will not be considered

Additional Requirement for Remote Candidates

  • If not local to Las Vegas, candidate must be based in a Pacific Time Zone-friendly location (East Coast candidates will not be considered)
  • Remote candidates must have genuine, verifiable hands-on experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced or Agentforce Revenue — please note that Revenue Cloud Advanced was not released until 2024, so experience claims predating 2024 will not be considered valid

Preferred

  • Basic Salesforce Admin configuration experience (Flows, Validation Rules, Reporting, Page Layouts)
  • Salesforce Certifications (Admin, CPQ Specialist, Business Analyst) are a plus
  • Experience working with enterprise SaaS/cloud-based environments

Why Join?
This is an opportunity to play a key role in a Lead-to-Cash transformation, working hands-on with CPQ and Revenue Cloud technologies in a collaborative, Agile environment with strong potential for contract-to-hire conversion.
