Job description

Our successful Chicago-based law firm is experiencing continued growth and is seeking several Part-Time/Contract Associate Immigration Attorneys to join our National Immigration Practice. If you have experience handling family-based immigration matters and are comfortable representing clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), we encourage you to apply.

We are a growing national firm committed to providing exceptional legal representation while offering our attorneys professional growth, flexibility, and long-term opportunities. This is an ideal position for a bilingual (English/Spanish) attorney who enjoys courtroom advocacy and working remotely as part of a collaborative legal team.

Depending on your location, local travel to immigration courts may be required. All approved travel expenses are covered, and additional bonuses are available for travel assignments.

Position Summary

This role requires a motivated, organized, and self-directed attorney who can effectively manage a remote practice while providing outstanding client service. You will represent clients in immigration proceedings, maintain regular communication with clients, and collaborate closely with our national legal team.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).
  • Handle family-based immigration matters from case preparation through court appearances.
  • Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients.
  • Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Prepare legal filings, motions, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
