MID‑LEVEL CONTRACT SPECIALIST
  • Salary: $45K–$50K

Focus: VA acquisition support, VAAR compliance

Role Summary

Mid‑level Contract Specialist supporting acquisition planning, solicitation development, evaluation, award, and post‑award administration for VA requirements. Works independently on moderate‑complexity actions and supports senior specialists on high‑visibility procurements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare acquisition documentation: PWS/SOW, market research, IGCEs, evaluation factors, and VA templates.

  • Draft and release VA solicitations under FAR Parts 8, 12, 13, 15, and 16.

  • Conduct technical evaluation coordination, price analysis, and award documentation.

  • Support post‑award actions: modifications, funding actions, performance monitoring, and closeout.

  • Maintain compliance with FAR, VAAR, VHA PM, and PWS deliverables.

  • Interface with contractors and VA stakeholders.

Required Experience
  • 3–6 years federal contracting experience with VA/VAAR exposure.

  • Working knowledge of VAAR, VA templates, and VHA PM procedures.

  • Experience with price analysis, evaluation documentation, and contract administration.

  • DAWIA/FAC‑C Level I/II preferred.
