Awayday is seeking a Content Manager who owns the execution, quality control, and operational management of Awayday's website content strategy. This role manages freelance writers, supports scalable content systems, contributes to landing page and blog development as needed, supports search engine optimization, and monitors performance to drive measurable organic growth.
While organic search is a primary focus, this role also supports broader marketing performance by strengthening landing page quality, improving engagement, and enhancing conversion-driven content across channels.
The Content Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the website content strategy for Awayday Brands across the US. This role manages content production, oversees freelance writers, and ensures all content is published, optimized, and aligned with SEO and brand standards.
Working under the direction of the SEO Manager, the Content Manager oversees freelance writers, supports scalable content systems, contributes to landing page and blog development as needed, supports search engine optimization, and monitors performance to drive measurable organic growth. This role is highly execution-focused, with an emphasis on organization, quality control, and consistency.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Content Production & Writer Management (~40%)
• Develop content calendars.
• Manage freelance writers and content contributors.
• Develop detailed content briefs aligned with SEO strategy and business priorities.
• Perform QA review to ensure brand voice alignment, SEO compliance, formatting consistency, and internal linking standards.
• Provide structured feedback to improve writer performance and output quality.
• Write blog content, landing pages, and promotional pages as needed.
• Support landing page development in collaboration with the Website Operations Manager.
• Create and refine templates for blogs, landing pages, hub pages, and promotional pages.
SEO Execution (As Directed) (~35%)
• Conduct keyword research to identify new content and SEO opportunities.

• Implement meta titles, descriptions, and header optimizations.
• Develop and maintain internal linking frameworks to improve crawlability and distribute authority across key pages.

• Publish blog posts, hub pages, and landing page updates in the CMS.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization (~5%)
• Monitor GA4 landing page traffic, primarily Organic Search.
• Track performance of blogs, hub pages, and landing pages.

Competitor Research & Content Strategy Support (~5%)
• Conduct competitor content analysis and SERP research.

Project Management, AI Development & Documentation (~5%)
