Position Title: Senior AI & Data Strategy Consultant (SkillBridge โ€“ Active Duty Military Transition)

Client: Aalis Management Consulting

Location: Remote

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Work Day: Monday โ€“ Friday

Length of Contract: 3 months

Overview:

Aalis Management Consulting is seeking an experienced SkillBridge Military Officer specializing in artificial intelligence, data-driven decision-making, and emerging technologies for a three-month remote consulting role. The ideal candidate has served at three or more duty stations, acquiring significant expertise in artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital transformation, or autonomous systems. This individual must demonstrate a proven ability to translate operational needs into AI, data, and emerging technology solutions. The role offers an engaging and challenging project environment.

SkillBridge Eligibility:

  • Must be active-duty military and transitioning (separating or retiring)
  • Must be within the final 180 days of service at the start of the program
  • Command approval required
  • Must be eligible for and approved under the DoD SkillBridge program
  • No civilian pay during SkillBridge (military pay/benefits continue)
  • Must be able to start in May 2026
  • Remote participation allowed

Not eligible: veterans already separated, reservists not on active duty, or anyone outside the 180-day window.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and leverage relationships with military and civilian stakeholders to identify and qualify new business opportunities aligned to DoD priorities
  • Support capture strategy development and teaming approaches
  • Contribute to pipeline development through targeted outreach and engagements
  • Translate operational challenges into AI/data-enabled solutions
  • Advise on the applicability of emerging technologies to mission needs
  • Align capabilities with DoD modernization priorities (e.g., JADC2 and CDAO initiatives)
  • Engage with large and small business partners and support the development of strategic partnerships
  • Provide insights on DoD priorities, acquisition trends, and competitive landscape

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Commissioned Military Officer (O5 or O6) with expertise in artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital transformation, or emerging technologies applied to mission or operational contexts.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, capability development, and key modernization initiatives (e.g., JADC2, CDAO, service-level digital efforts)
  • Leadership experience overseeing cross-functional teams, complex programs, or mission-critical operations within DoD or joint environments, with a focus on accountability, process improvement, and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply strategic thinking to connect mission needs with technology-enabled solutions and drive outcomes in dynamic, high-stakes environments

Required Skills:

  • Practical experience meeting operational and strategic objectives by applying data-driven insights, emerging technologies, and mission-focused problem-solving in dynamic environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of building strong working relationships with senior military leaders and civilian partners, translating complex technical concepts into clear mission impacts, and delivering compelling briefings and recommendations
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex challenges, synthesize information from multiple sources, and develop actionable, technology-enabled solutions
  • Effective collaborator experienced in working with cross-functional, joint, or hybrid military-civilian teams, supporting professional transition through SkillBridge.
