Job description

Build a Career Leading Complex Environmental Remediation Projects

Winter Environmental is seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Superintendent to lead field operations on complex environmental remediation and environmental construction projects throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands environmental remediation, heavy civil construction, contaminated site cleanup, and remediation system installation. We're looking for leaders who can safely execute technically challenging projects while maintaining production, coordinating field personnel, and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Travel is required. Company-paid travel expenses and per diem are provided when applicable.

What You'll Do
  • Lead environmental remediation projects from mobilization through project completion.
  • Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and equipment while maintaining safe and productive job sites.
  • Coordinate daily manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maintain project schedules.
  • Oversee excavation and disposal of contaminated soils and impacted materials.
  • Manage installation of environmental remediation systems including:
    • Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE)
    • Air Sparging
    • Dual-Phase Extraction (DPE)
    • Pump-and-Treat Systems
    • Groundwater Recovery Systems
    • Remedial Piping and Mechanical Equipment
  • Interpret project drawings, specifications, work plans, and remedial designs.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications, health and safety plans, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, job briefings, and production planning.
  • Coordinate with project managers, environmental consultants, engineers, regulatory agencies, and clients.
  • Maintain daily reports, equipment logs, production tracking, manifests, and project documentation.
  • Mentor foremen and field personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Five (5) or more years of experience supervising environmental remediation or environmental construction projects.
  • Experience managing field crews, subcontractors, and heavy equipment operations.
  • Experience installing or overseeing environmental remediation systems.
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations and health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, remedial designs, and work plans.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER
  • First Aid / CPR Certification
  • Experience working on industrial, manufacturing, utility, or federal projects.
  • Experience managing multiple crews and complex remediation projects.
  • Experience with groundwater treatment systems, remediation technologies, and environmental monitoring.
