BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Remote - Epic Beaker / Lab Analyst II for an opportunity in Remote Position

Position Title: Remote - Epic Beaker / Lab Analyst II

Location: Remote Position

Expected Duration: 04+ months contract (with possible extension)

Job Type: Contract, 40 HRS WEEKLY, Remote Position

Anticipated Start Date: September 2026

Pay Range: $75/Hr - $81/Hr on W2

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

 

Job Description:

Role Summary:

Supports Epic Beaker and laboratory workflows including orders, specimens, result routing, instruments/interfaces, quality controls, and operational reporting.

Provides build, testing, support, and optimization for lab services.

Core responsibilities:

• Build, validate, and support Beaker/lab configuration, orderable, specimens, resulting, security, work queues, instruments, and interfaces.

• Resolve lab workflow incidents, integration issues, upgrade impacts, and user requests.

• Coordinate with lab operations, pathology, interfaces, reporting, trainers, vendors, and Epic teams.

• Develop test scripts, validation evidence, workflow documentation, runbooks, and downtime procedures.

• Support quality, patient safety, regulatory, and turnaround-time improvement initiatives.

Level expectations:

• Independently resolves common incidents and service requests, supports standard changes, validates knowledge articles, and coordinates with adjacent teams or vendors for medium-complexity work.

Skills/Experience:

• Epic Beaker/laboratory systems experience, lab workflows, interface/instrument awareness, testing/validation, documentation, and healthcare compliance awareness.
