About the role

Leading DFW Mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced BIM Database Manager, coming from a Mechanical contractor background.

Position Summary
The Database Manager – BIM / CAD-MEP is responsible for managing and standardizing CAD-MEP and Revit data environments for a mechanical contractor. This role oversees fabrication databases, Revit families, and BIM data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project and field needs. The position also supports automation, analytics, and collaboration platforms including Dynamo, Power BI, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage CAD-MEP fabrication databases (Fabrication CADmep, CAMduct, ESTmep)
  • Develop and maintain Revit families and BIM content standards
  • Ensure consistency between Revit models and fabrication databases
  • Administer ACC for model coordination and document management
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for project and fabrication insights
  • Develop Dynamo scripts to automate workflows, QA/QC, and data management
  • Support data standardization, integration, and reporting across teams
  • Troubleshoot database, Revit, and BIM workflow issues
  • Maintain libraries, specifications, and version control

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in BIM/VDC, in a mechanical construction company
  • Strong experience with Revit and Autodesk Fabrication tools
  • Experience building Dynamo scripts for Revit automation
  • Working knowledge of ACC and Power BI
  • Understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing) Familiarity with APIs or advanced automation tools
