OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is seeking a career- and quality-minded GIS Analyst for a full-time position in our Greenwood Village, CO office. We are open to both hybrid or remote.  The ideal candidate is motivated by challenging projects and enjoys working across widely varied GIS applications and related geospatial services. This role supports infrastructure, utilities, aviation, federal, and municipal projects and works closely with engineers, planners, surveyors, LiDAR/imagery specialists, and project managers. The GIS Analyst will be responsible for developing, managing, analyzing, and visualizing geospatial data to support project delivery, decision-making, and client requirements.


WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Develop, manage, and maintain GIS datasets, geodatabases, and spatial data repositories
  • Perform spatial analysis, data validation, and quality control to support project requirements
  • Create maps, figures, dashboards, web maps, and other geospatial deliverables for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Design, deploy, and support ArcGIS Online projects, including hosting, sharing, and security configuration
  • Support geodatabase creation and management, including schema design and data governance
  • Integrate GIS data with CAD, BIM, LiDAR, imagery, GPS, and tabular datasets
  • Support 3D GIS, BIM, and digital twin workflows, including visualization and data integration
  • Apply and support AI / GeoAI applications for geospatial analysis where appropriate
  • Prepare and maintain metadata, documentation, and standard GIS workflows

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Strong understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data structures, and cartographic principles
  • Working knowledge of coordinate systems, projections, and basic geodesy
  • Experience supporting multi-disciplinary engineering or infrastructure project teams
  • ESRI software suite including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
  • Geodatabase design, maintenance, and versioned workflows
  • Spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data QA/QC
  • Cartographic design and geospatial data visualization
  • CAD/GIS and BIM/GIS integration (e.g., AutoCAD, 3D models)
