Database Developer 1

Location: Remote / Hybrid
Duration: 9 Months
Employment Type: Contract

Position Description

We are seeking a Database Developer 1 to design, develop, implement, and maintain database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and relational database experience, along with hands-on expertise in ETL development using SSIS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, define, structure, develop, implement, and maintain database objects.
  • Analyze query performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement database optimization techniques.
  • Design and implement database interfaces to support interaction between applications, user-installed systems, vendor-developed systems, and databases.
  • Create database structures and develop, test, and optimize SQL queries.
  • Monitor and improve database performance.
  • Plan and develop test data to validate new and modified database applications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and implement database solutions.
  • Build and implement database systems that meet business requirements while maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Design and implement ETL pipelines using SSIS to integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL jobs.
  • Support ongoing database development, maintenance, and performance improvements.
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database management systems such as:
