Data Quality Analyst

Location: Remote

Duration: 3-6+ months (possible extension) 

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Data Quality Analysts to join Medica’s IT team. In this role, you will lead testing and validation efforts across complex data environments, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of outbound data feeds, regulatory submissions, and vendor deliverables. As senior contributors, you will define quality strategies, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute test strategies, plans, and validation frameworks for data pipelines and applications.

  • Lead functional, regression, and data validation testing to ensure compliance with business and regulatory requirements.

  • Validate inbound/outbound data feeds, including regulatory submissions, vendor integrations, and reporting outputs.

  • Perform advanced data reconciliation and root cause analysis across multiple systems.

  • Identify risks and quality gaps; drive mitigation strategies proactively.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure release readiness.

  • Maintain documentation and traceability to support audits, compliance, and internal controls.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or data validation.

  • Advanced SQL skills with experience handling large, complex datasets.

  • Strong background in testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data platforms.

  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

  • Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare or health plan data (claims, enrollment, HEDIS/Stars).

  • Familiarity with QA automation tools and frameworks.

  • Exposure to cloud‑based data platforms or modern data architectures.
