Job description

Focus Search LLC is recruiting for a Senior IT SOX Auditor for a large, publicly traded company in downtown Portland. This is a remote role open to candidates in Oregon, Arizona, Idaho, Washington, Florida, Michigan, Nevada and Texas. This role is responsible for leading and executing the annual IT SOX audit plan, including assessing the design and effectiveness of key IT controls and testing reports that support internal controls over financial reporting. The position involves managing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, such as business control teams, compliance offices, and external auditors, to ensure alignment and successful audit execution. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting control walkthroughs, developing and performing audit testing procedures, documenting results, identifying control deficiencies, and ensuring compliance with audit standards. The role also supports IT operational audits, risk assessments, and year-end financial audit activities. This is a broad role with great exposure, and excellent mentorship and team leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting or related field
  • 5+ Years of IT SOX Audit Experience
  • CISA Certification
  • Public Accounting experience preferred
  • Familiarity with frameworks like NIST and COBIT preferred
