Job description


Candidates residing in the following states will be considered for remote employment: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Remote work will not be permitted from any other state at this time
The Business Intelligence Developer works under the supervision of the Business Intelligence Manager as part of the Data and Advanced Analytics team and is a key resource in ensuring the delivery of BI solutions for our business partners. An excellent blend of analytical, technical and communication skills in a team-based environment is essential for this role. Works with structured and unstructured data to develop ad-hoc reports, automated reports, extracts, data products, and dashboards.
Responsibilities
  • Create content to display Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle.
  • Work with subject matter experts to understand the needs of data consumers.
  • Maintaining the Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records.
  • Configuring and testing Epic released and Foundation System content for all analytics applications.
  • Meets with caregivers to gain a better understanding of the business needs and collaboratively identify best practice solutions and define analytic requirements.
  • Responsible for modeling basic to intermediate business problems, discovering business insights and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining, and visualization techniques.
  • Participates in the evaluation of BI utilities and tools while coordinating application and integration configurations needs with other IT teams.
  • Provides support and works with one or more BI solutions (beyond Epic Cogito) of basic to intermediate complexity.
  • Merges business intelligence platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science or other related area or equivalent background and experience - Required

Work Experience
  • 2 Years - Experience working with data warehousing environments, and/or business analytics platforms. - Required
  • 2 Years - Experience with Epic Cogito collection of analytic tools - Preferred
  • 3 Years - Experience working with data warehousing environments, and/or business analytics platforms. - Preferred

Licenses and Certifications
  • Cogito (Epic) - Epic Cogito; Full Cogito Training Track - Required within 90 Days
  • Epic Certifications - Epic Clarity/Caboodle; Must include at least 1 Data Model Certification - Required within 90 Days
