Senior Business Development Director

The Senior Business Development Director is responsible for the development and expansion of new business opportunities within established accounts and prospective clients by providing leadership for overall business planning. S/he identifies and develops sales leads and liaises with Proposals and Contracts in managing the sales process through contract closure. In addition, the Senior Business Development Director prepares and conducts project-specific client presentations in collaboration with the functional departments related to Veristat's core services and capabilities.

The Senior Business Development Director will liaise between the client and Company on all sales activities and requirements to expand the Company's visibility, name recognition, and professional credibility in the market. S/he will also assist with the development of promotional material to promote the Company's recognition in the industry.

Internally, the Senior Business Development Director works closely with Project Management and Finance to establish key strategic partnerships with new and existing clients as well as with all functional groups within Veristat to enhance Company performance and client relations.

  • The estimated hiring range for this role is $185-200k USD plus applicable bonus or commissions plans based on positions. This hiring range is specific to the US and will vary for other regions based upon local market data. Final salary is ultimately decided upon taking into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to: skills and experience, licensure and certifications, education, specific location and dynamic market data.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business, science, or related field.

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience selling services in a CRO / pharmaceutical / biotechnology / life sciences industry, with expert knowledge of the clinical research process and requirements.
