Founded in 1991, Zwicker represents lenders in various consumer and commercial recovery efforts and litigation. Zwicker is headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, and has office locations across the United States.


Zwicker is presently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team in Orlando, FL. Candidate must live in Central Florida to attend local hearings.


The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 per year.


Responsibilities of Associate Attorneys include

Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties

Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc. in furtherance of active litigation files

Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action

Advocate on behalf of client's interests at various litigation settings

Utilize internal proprietary software to properly update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventory

Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and litigation files, as assigned by Managing Attorney, to ensure that proper litigation work flow is being performed pursuant to the firm and client expectations

Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures

Ability to travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required

Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements

Admission to practice law in the state of Florida

Must live in the Florida panhandle to attend local hearings

Strong organizational and time management skills

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly motivated self-starter

Eagerness to learn

Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload

Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing

Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device

Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule

Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence


Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of one year of litigation/trial experience

Working knowledge of civil procedure

Debt collection experience

Prior experience in high-volume environment


Remote Work Requirements

  • Must have a private location within their home free from third parties and household members; and,
  • Must have stable internet service with a minimum speed of 5 Mbps or any broadband cable access that allows company-issued equipment to connect and operate without disruption.
