Position Overview

Premise Therapy Center is searching for a compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to enhance our dedicated team, providing high-quality mental health care to individuals grappling with the effects of trauma. This full-time position is performed remotely from the comfort of your own location, allowing you to support patients through telehealth services while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Work Environment

Our therapy services are delivered through a telehealth model, granting you the flexibility to work remotely while contributing significantly to our patients' recovery journeys. Although you will primarily engage with clients online, we ensure that our therapists are connected and supported by engaging team meetings and case consultations. Your work schedule will be primarily Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a potential for flexibility based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, allowing for tailored treatment approaches.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery while promoting resilience and mental well-being.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address diverse client needs.
  • Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through processing their trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and encouraging pathways to healing.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for each client.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with resources to facilitate recovery.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed practices.
  • Stay updated on developments in trauma therapy and contribute to enhancing clinical practices within the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with trauma-related disorders, including PTSD and complex trauma. Clients may present with various challenges and backgrounds, requiring a strong foundation in trauma-informed care and a deep understanding of diverse therapeutic approaches. Each patient's unique story contributes to the collaborative nature of therapy, ensuring a supportive atmosphere that is both respectful and empowering.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
  • A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate, non-judgmental approach with clients.
  • The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.
  • A collaborative spirit, demonstrating the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value both practical experience and dedication to continuing education in trauma-focused therapies. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methods like EMDR and TF-CBT is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, along with a comprehensive healthcare benefits package.
