We are currently seeking an Instrumentation Field Technician for our client in the Engineering Solutions domain. Location: Addison, TX – Travel to Dallas – Fort Worth Area

Salary: $80,000-$105,000/Annually

Role: Instrumentation Field Technician

Primary Skills: Engineering

Role Description: The Instrumentation Field Technician must have 5+ years of experience. Must be an Instrumentation Field Technician to join our team in Addison, TX.

You will play a vital role within the business unit, providing direct exposure to our customers and ensuring the successful delivery of project-related tasks.

The Instrumentation Field Technician will be responsible for representing the company's efforts on each project, making this role essential to both project success and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Instrumentation: Start-up, calibration, and troubleshooting of project-related instrumentation, including but not limited to transmitters (flow, pressure, temperature, position, vibration, and current), as well as analyzers for dissolved oxygen, sludge blanket, ORP, turbidity, pH, chlorine, fluoride, conductivity, and particle counting.

- Systems Drawings: Ability to read and interpret Process and Instrumentation diagrams, Control Loop diagrams, and Control Panel drawings. Responsible for red-lining as-built mark-ups to document the current state of PLC and DCS control systems.

- Motor Control Equipment: Troubleshoot 480VAC distribution and motor control equipment, while ensuring all necessary safety standards are followed.

- PLC Equipment: Troubleshoot PLC and relay-type equipment.

- Equipment Modifications: Perform necessary mechanical and electrical modifications to equipment in the field.

- Computer/Networking: Installation and start-up of computer and networking equipment.

- General Administration: Complete administrative tasks such as paperwork, copying, printing, faxing, and using a computer to maintain project documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

- Technical Associate's degree or relevant training; equivalent experience may be substituted.

Experience:

- At least 2 years of experience working with instrumentation, system drawings, motor control equipment, PLC systems, equipment modifications, and computer/networking equipment.

- Proven ability to work effectively and professionally with customers while maintaining strong business relationships.

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Other Requirements:

- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to and from client sites as required.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Access).

Physical Requirements:

- Must have full dexterity of hands and feet at job sites.

- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on slippery or uneven surfaces.

- Use of hand tools is required.

- Must be able to see, hear, and speak clearly, with color perception and dexterity in hands.

- Must be able to drive, lift, climb, mount and dismount equipment, and perform tasks requiring pushing and pulling.

- Ability to work in various temperature conditions, and handle exposure to moisture, hazardous materials, and electrical voltages.

Working Environment:

- Work will primarily take place in on-site office environments, diverse industrial settings, and construction trailers.

- On-site conditions may include exposure to temperature extremes, moisture, slippery surfaces, confined spaces, heights, and noise or vibration hazards.

- The role requires frequent standing, occasional bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, balancing, and reaching.

- Must be prepared to work irregular or extended hours, be on-call, and travel for project completion.
