Software Engineer โ€“ Graphics and R&D Team - All Levels Remote The Opportunity: Miris is seeking skilled Software Engineers at all levels to join our fully remote R&D team. In this role, you will be instrumental in keeping our immersive streaming platform at the forefront of innovation by implementing and productionizing the latest advances in graphics and spatial computing research. This is a handsโ€on engineering role for someone who enjoys implementing papers, pushing the forefront of new techniques, and making them work at scale on real devices - for realโ€world customer applications.

You'll work alongside our research and rendering engineers to ensure that the best ideas become part of the product. What You'll Do: Build and productionize advanced techniques from graphics and computer vision research (e.g., Gaussian Splatting, radiance fields, compression, streaming). Deliver efficient, optimized code across the rendering pipeline and ensure it runs on mobile and VR hardware.

Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and cloud/content teams to design endโ€toโ€end streaming and rendering solutions. Stay current with industry and academic advances, moving quickly from ideas to realโ€world deployment. Contribute to scalable systems and our SDK, helping customers integrate our technology into their apps.

What You'll Bring: Strong software engineering skills, with proven experience delivering production-quality code in C++ and demonstrable experience in Python. Solid understanding of 3D graphics and rendering fundamentals, with enough depth to work productively with specialists. Demonstrated ability to implement research techniques or complex algorithms in real-world systems.

Experience with performance optimization on mobile, VR, or other resource-constrained platforms, or experience with ML training pipelines and code. Familiarity with Gaussian Splatting, NeRFs, or radiance field techniques is a plus. Experience with mobile graphics APIs (Vulkan, Metal, WebGL) is a plus.

Background in any of our adjacent verticals, such as rendering, shader writing, distributed computing, streaming, graphics-related ML, computer vision, etc. Understanding and ability to wring out performance from modern mobile hardware.
