Donaldson's Power Generation business unit is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our Engineering team. In this role you will support designs of support structures and air inlet systems for the gas turbine market. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a dynamic work environment with business unit partners and manufacturing plants, interfacing with a broad range of professionals to maintain products.

Qualified candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule at our Bloomington, MN office.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain products through knowledge and application of engineering and filtration principles.

  • Implement value added solutions such as new technologies, cost reductions and quality improvements.

  • Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and assigned tasks.

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing partners at our plants, suppliers, and CAD designers.

  • Utilize Computer Aided Engineering systems to help evaluate designs.

  • Ensure compliance with government and organization engineering standards.

  • Provide technical support to Sales, Product Management, Applications Engineering, Field Service, Marketing, and Manufacturing.

  • Prepare and present technical results and information in a clear and concise manner through drawings, specifications, reports, and oral presentations.

  • Data analytics.

  • Support field assembly as needed through conference calls or site visits.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 5+ years related professional work experience.

  • Experience with structural design software systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RISA, Teamcenter, NX.

  • Experience working with fabricated metal products, manufacturing processes and the downstream impacts of design decisions.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with broad audience: Sales, product management, other engineering teams, CAD design, quality, manufacturing plant personnel

  • Professional Engineering License

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

Annual Salary Range: $92,400 - $127,050.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.
