Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to determine the individual needs and goals of each client.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously assess personalized recovery-based treatment plans, adapting as necessary based on client progress.
  • Guide clients in enhancing their coping, problem-solving, and communication skills through evidence-based methodologies.
  • Actively facilitate the development and execution of individual service plans that promote positive behavioral changes.
  • Educate clients about available community services, advocating for their access to resources to enhance overall well-being.
  • Monitor client symptoms effectively while developing strategies for symptom management.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals aged 18 and older who may experience challenges in maintaining stability and independence due to mental health issues. You will be instrumental in fostering resilience and facilitating recovery, creating a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will collaborate with clients to advance their personal growth and foster a supportive community around them.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • Current licensure in California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or similar credential.
  • Ability to practice independently without supervision.
  • Clear disciplinary record and strong clinical ethics.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to mental health practice.
  • A reliable internet connection is essential to facilitate online counseling sessions.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience delivering direct clinical services in mental health settings.
