Work Environment

This position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while primarily engaging in virtual therapeutic sessions. Being part of a remote team means utilizing digital platforms for both patient appointments and collaborative efforts with colleagues. While our operational hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there may be some flexibility necessary to accommodate the scheduling needs of our patients, ensuring that we provide timely support during critical moments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient’s unique trauma history and formulate tailored treatment strategies.
• Design individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, coping skills, and resilience enhancement, actively involving patients in the planning process.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and promote recovery.
• Deliver compassionate individual and group therapy sessions, enabling patients to process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and progress towards recovery goals.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure that each client receives integrated and holistic care pathways.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, equipping patients with real-time coping mechanisms and resources.
• Educate clients and their families about the impacts of trauma, effective responses, and beneficial coping strategies that promote long-term healing.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment activities, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities that focus on trauma-informed care best practices.
• Continuously engage with the latest research and developments in the field of trauma therapy to enhance personal and team effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Understanding and empathizing with our patients’ varied experiences is crucial, as is creating a treatment plan that resonates with their personal journeys. Your expertise will directly influence their recovery journey, helping to build a foundation of trust and support that fosters healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada is essential.
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with various trauma-informed and resilience-building methodologies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate approach toward clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations, providing dependable support to patients in need.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications, aiding in the management of patient information and case documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, ideally with a focus on trauma therapy and related interventions.
• Prior experience working in a remote setting is advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with virtual therapy tools and best practices.

Compensation and Benefits
