Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and intake interviews for new clients to determine mental health status and establish treatment goals.
  • Craft customized therapy plans utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and circumstances.
  • Conduct regular therapy sessions, utilizing a mix of individual and group counseling techniques to provide support and guidance.

  • Maintain meticulous records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and any referrals made in compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists and social workers to ensure holistic care for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role at Great Fit Psychotherapy Center, you will work primarily with adults and adolescents dealing with a variety of mental health challenges, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. You will be expected to apply a culturally competent approach to therapy, recognizing the diversity in client backgrounds and experiences while successfully engaging individuals from varied socio-economic and cultural contexts.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling or a related field.
  • Demonstrated excellence in understanding mental health disorders, therapeutic techniques, and an evidence-based approach to treatment.
