Our ideal candidate will possess fluency in both Spanish and Portuguese, enhancing our ability to serve a diverse clientele across New Jersey.

About the Organization

Complete and Wellness Mind Care P.C. is a progressive community health clinic situated in Elizabeth, New Jersey. We specialize in providing comprehensive mental health services, primarily for youth and families dealing with developmental disabilities and other related challenges. Our clinic emphasizes culturally competent care, ensuring that every family we work with feels heard, understood, and supported. With a strong commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of our community, we strive to offer inclusive and effective therapy solutions.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of a remote working environment, allowing you to provide therapeutic services from the comfort of your own home while still having access to a tight-knit, supportive team. Our therapists collaborate with a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering effective mental health solutions tailored to individual family needs. Regular meetings and interactions with colleagues foster a collaborative atmosphere that enhances professional development and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individualized in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, addressing the unique needs of each child.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions including anger management, coping skills training, and social skills development aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
  • Support caregivers by improving their decision-making skills and strategies to manage behavioral challenges within the home, leading to more effective family dynamics.
  • Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, forming a cohesive support network for each child and family.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapeutic activities, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss progress, share insights, and submit recommendations for the enhancement of client services.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20, particularly those with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and our bilingual services aim to remove language barriers, ensuring that every child and family receives the highest level of care. Your work will directly contribute to improving the mental health and overall quality of life for these young individuals and their families.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted LMFT license in New Jersey is mandatory.
  • Availability to work at least 5 to 10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically between 4 PM and 7 PM, with additional flexibility on weekends preferred.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience providing positive behavior support and tailored therapeutic interventions for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with youth across the age spectrum of 3 to 20, particularly those facing complex emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for traveling to clients' homes when required.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual compensation for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, Complete and Wellness Mind Care P.C. offers a dynamic work environment that includes:

  • Comprehensive group health coverage.
  • Annual paid time off to ensure work-life balance.
  • Short and long-term disability options to safeguard your financial wellbeing.
  • A robust 401K plan to help you plan for your future.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities to advance your career.

You will have ample opportunities to partake in specialized training, attend workshops, and engage in professional development programs.
