• Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and client-defined goals.
• Create and implement individualized crisis and pre-crisis intervention plans, including behavioral guidelines and risk assessments.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to design and execute positive behavior support strategies and participate in ongoing care coordination.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and external service systems, promoting collaboration among local, state, and federal entities.
• Play a vital role in the licensing and accreditation processes, actively participating in organizational improvements and quality assurance measures.
• Facilitate professional development opportunities, such as attending conferences and statewide meetings, to enhance your expertise and represent the organization.
• Champion the agency's mission and values by blending them into all aspects of practice and client interactions.
• Assist in additional tasks as assigned by the Clinic Director that align with organizational objectives.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Life Change Behavioral Center, you will work with a diverse patient demographic, including individuals facing emotional disturbances, those in recovery from substance use, and clients with developmental challenges and acquired brain injuries. This role serves critical needs in the community, helping to facilitate recovery, independence, and emotional health, while also engaging clients in evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant mental health field is required to ensure comprehensive understanding of psychological principles and therapeutic techniques.
• A valid and Independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license is essential, offering the ability to provide professional counseling services effectively.

• Experience working in outpatient settings or with diverse populations is preferred, enhancing responsiveness to client needs and promoting effective treatment.
• Familiarity with evidence-based screening tools and best practices in mental health counseling.
