Position Overview

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) position at Curing Marriage and Family Therapy Services offers a unique opportunity for dedicated professionals to support the health and well-being of families within a remote community health clinic setting. Work Environment

You will be equipped with the necessary digital tools to facilitate virtual consultations and group therapy sessions, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate engaging parent support groups that foster a therapeutic environment for sharing and growth.
  • Provide targeted training to parents of children with mental health needs, specifically focusing on those affected by prenatal substance exposure.
  • Conduct temperament counseling to equip parents with strategies to support their children’s development.
  • Perform comprehensive developmental evaluations of children to assess their growth and identify areas requiring intervention.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services provided, maintaining compliance with program guidelines and reporting standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this position is on supporting families dealing with mental health crises, including those involved in complex parenting situations such as adoption or challenges arising from substance use during pregnancy. You will play a critical role in improving the lives of both parents and children, enhancing their ability to thrive within their home environments.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a healthcare setting, with at least one year in a mental health environment.
  • An active and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) is mandatory.
  • Strong background in parent-child interventions and strategies for supporting mental health.
  • Robust knowledge of normal child development, effective parenting skills, and the effects of child abuse and neglect.
  • Experience in social service or healthcare roles that emphasize case management is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with children facing mental health challenges
  • Background in virtual counseling or remote therapeutic practices
  • Familiarity with community resources and referrals for families in crisis
