Brighterlife Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our vibrant team in Wichita, Kansas. This full-time role offers the flexibility of remote work while primarily serving an outpatient client base. • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health statuses, leading to the development of individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other approaches to facilitate client healing and growth.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, case managers, and social workers to ensure an integrated approach to client care, enhancing support for individuals and families.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health distress, employing techniques to stabilize and guide them through emergencies.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and educational programs to raise awareness about mental health and promote accessible services to the population we serve.

Our therapy services cater to a broad spectrum of individuals, including children, adolescents, adults, and families grappling with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. The client demographic reflects our commitment to serving diverse communities, and our therapists are trained to address a wide range of cultural backgrounds and experiences.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships with clients from various backgrounds.
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to effectively engage with and serve individuals from diverse and underrepresented groups.
• Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for maintaining accurate, timely documentation and adhering to ethical standards.

• Prior experience in an outpatient mental health setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions and treatment plans.
• Experience in group therapy and/or community outreach is a plus, enhancing our collaborative service delivery model.
