FACILITIES & MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR (REMOTE)

STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

The Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining all Boot Barn locations throughout the US; as standalone, strip center or mall-based facilities. The position is responsible for internal and external building maintenance, environmental/safety regulation compliance, grounds maintenance, custodial support, space assignments, facility upgrades and any other facility related projects that may arise. The position is required to assist in the development, and management of capital and expense budgets within strict company guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for store teams regarding facility-related issues.
  • Manage and maintain the work order system, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate reactive, preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance services across all retail locations through third-party service providers.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with vendors and contractors across key trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, roofing, and general maintenance.
  • Support the ongoing Predictive and Preventive Maintenance (PPM) Program for current and future retail locations.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections to identify deficiencies, recurring issues, and opportunities for corrective actions or capital improvements. Store visits are typically conducted quarterly.
  • Proactively communicate critical operational and facility-related issues to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Support store openings, remodels, relocations, and closures in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, EMS, electrical, plumbing, roofing, lighting, and general construction and repair practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Proposal review, invoice processing, expense control, and initiatives aimed at managing and reducing total cost
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, communication, teamwork, attendance, and quality of work in all interactions with stores, peers, leadership, vendors, and external partners.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
  • Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience in related field
  • Knowledge of construction methods and material along with building design
  • Experience with multi-state and multi-unit retail environment preferred
  • Manage by exception, review hot calls and escalate to resolve as needed
  • Experience with facilities management platform (ServiceChannel is preferred) (Corrigo, Fexa, etc.)
  • Experience with core trades of HVAC, Roofing, Plumbing, Illuminated Signage, Electrical/Lighting, General Handyman/Carpentry is required
  • This position may be remote-friendly for the ideal candidate, provided they can effectively support store facilities across our locations. Prefer a remote candidate in the Central States or could work from a Dallas area office.

PAY RANGE: $25.00 - $31.25/hr*
