Position Overview

The Allegheny Family Connection Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is remote and will primarily serve clients in and around Lubbock, Texas. You will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health counseling to individuals, couples, and families, helping them navigate a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as an LMFT will encompass a range of important responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough diagnostic assessments to identify mental health disorders and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Facilitating individual and couples therapy sessions, utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family systems therapy.
  • Leading group therapy sessions focused on issues such as grief, adjustment to separation and divorce, and blended family dynamics.
  • Providing referrals to outside specialists as necessary, ensuring a continuum of care for clients with more complex issues.
  • Documenting client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.
  • Managing case records electronically, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Allegheny Family Connection Center, you will work with a diverse patient population that ranges from children and adolescents to adults and families dealing with various mental health issues. Common concerns include alcohol abuse, job stress, physical and psychological abuse, grief and loss, and family conflicts. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) designation.
  • An active state license to practice in Texas.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experience is preferred:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mental health counseling, preferably within a community health setting.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms to provide virtual therapy sessions.
