• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including intensity, duration, and impact on daily functioning.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and preferences, ensuring that these plans evolve over time.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate mental wellness.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, discussing treatment options and self-care strategies to enhance overall well-being.
• Monitor client progress closely, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet changing goals and circumstances.
• Engage in integrated care initiatives, collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines regarding client records.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to stay informed about current best practices and research.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and assist in destigmatizing mental health issues within the community.

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing a variety of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will have the opportunity to work with underserved populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. This role allows you to make a significant impact on the lives of these individuals by providing compassionate support and effective treatments tailored to their unique circumstances.

• A valid and active state license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster trusting relationships with clients.
• A strong sense of empathy and a nonjudgmental approach to client experiences.
• Excellent organizational skills and effective time management capabilities to balance client priorities and administrative responsibilities.

• Experience working within community health settings.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
• Proven track record of using evidence-based therapies to enhance client outcomes.

Compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000–90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
