As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

• Counsel clients individually through secure video sessions, addressing their mental health concerns.
• Encourage open discussions related to emotions and experiences, promoting self-awareness and relationship growth.
• Act as an advocate for clients, assisting them in defining personal goals for their therapeutic journey.
• Evaluate each client’s mental condition and develop tailored treatment plans utilizing a solution-focused approach.
• Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

You will be working primarily with a carefully screened clientele of stable adults experiencing low-acuity mental health issues. This demographic typically includes individuals confronting life transitions, relationship challenges, and adjustment disorders. Your role will be crucial in providing them with the support needed to improve their overall well-being.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Current independent LMFT licensure in the state of New Jersey (limited or provisional licenses are not accepted).
• Proven ability to assess clients’ needs and make informed decisions regarding treatment planning and implementation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding in a therapeutic context.
• Strong proficiency with digital platforms and technology relevant to telehealth practices.

While not mandatory, preferred candidates will have:

• Previous experience in a telehealth setting, demonstrating familiarity with remote communication tools and strategies.
• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in community health settings.
• Knowledge of additional therapeutic modalities beyond standard practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, or other integrative approaches.
