Job description

Senior Customer Development Manager
Clearbridge Business Solutions | Kent, WA | Remote (6-month trial with remote work) | Full-time

Close complex deals. Own your pipeline. Build the US market.

ABOUT CLEARBRIDGE

Clearbridge Business Solutions is a people-centric managed and professional services firm with offices in Abbotsford, BC and Kent, WA. We deliver IT, cybersecurity, AI & automation, marketing, and development services to customers across Canada and the United States.

We're in a high-growth phase with 35% year-over-year targets and a largely untapped US market. Our team becomes a genuine extension of our customers' operations - understanding their businesses deeply enough to anticipate needs and recommend solutions that move the needle.

We're entering the next chapter of our growth, and we're looking for a senior sales professional to help write it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a senior individual contributor role on Clearbridge's sales team, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll own the full US sales cycle - from prospecting through close - and serve as the primary relationship owner for your customers in Washington and beyond.

You'll be selling managed services agreements and project work to growth-oriented companies in transportation, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and other essential industries. The market is largely untapped. The support is there. What we need is someone who can execute.

This role is initially remote with a 6-month trial period. We will reassess the arrangement at the 6-month mark based on performance and business needs. We are only considering candidates currently based in the Kent, WA area.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
- Lead complex, consultative discovery conversations with senior decision-makers
- Close managed services agreements and associated project work
- Maintain a disciplined pipeline with accurate forecasting
- Act as the primary relationship owner for assigned customers
- Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure strong outcomes for customers

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're not looking for someone who needs a system to manage them. We're looking for a proven closer who runs a disciplined book of business, builds genuine relationships, and knows how to navigate complex deals without a lot of hand-holding.

This role is for you if you are:

Consultative (Deal-Savvy)
You lead with questions, not pitches. You know how to uncover the real problem before you propose a solution, and you've won deals by understanding a customer's business better than they expected anyone to.

Disciplined (Pipeline-Focused)
Your CRM is accurate because you believe in the data, not because someone checked. You forecast honestly, follow up consistently, and never let a deal go cold by accident.

Relationship-Oriented (Customer-Obsessed)
You become a trusted advisor, not just a vendor. Your customers take your calls. They refer you. They expand.

Self-Directed (Independent)
You don't need to be managed to perform. You set your own schedule, hold yourself to your targets, and know when to pull in support versus when to drive forward on your own.

Must-haves:
- 6+ years of B2B sales experience; ideally in Managed IT Services, SaaS, or technology consulting
- Proven success closing complex, consultative deals
- Strong executive-level communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly disciplined, self-directed, and results-focused
- Valid driver's licence and passport with ability to travel within WA and BC/AB as needed
- Currently based in the Kent, WA area

Nice-to-haves:
- Experience selling into transportation, construction, manufacturing, or healthcare verticals
- Familiarity with managed services or recurring revenue models
- Existing network in the greater Kent/South King County market

WHY CLEARBRIDGE

Untapped market. Washington is a priority growth region with real runway and minimal competition for the relationships we build.

Direct access to leadership. You report to the CEO. Decisions move fast, and your wins are visible.

Flexible to start. This role begins as fully remote. We'll assess the arrangement together at six months.

Meaningful work. You're not selling commodity products. You're solving real business problems for companies that depend on getting their technology right.

Strong support. Proposals, CRM, and internal follow-through are backed by a disciplined team that makes it easy for you to focus on selling.

THE REALITY CHECK

This is an individual contributor role. You'll be expected to build and run your own pipeline, manage your own time, and hold yourself accountable to your targets.

The market is strong, but you'll need to build it. If you're looking for inbound leads and a structured handoff process, this isn't it. If you want ownership of a real market with genuine upside and a company that will invest in your success, we should talk.

We are not considering candidates outside the Kent, WA area at this time.

OUR VALUES

Customer Obsessed. Easy To Work With. Think Beyond Boundaries. Seek Mastery. Move Tactically.

If these resonate, we should talk.
