About the role:

As a Senior Category Manager, EI&C, you will lead category and operational management for assigned commodities. You will improve total cost, quality, delivery, and reliability to reach organizational goals and be the primary contact for suppliers within assigned commodities. You will report to the Manager, EI&C Category Management and work remote. 100% Remote role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own supplier relationships within assigned commodities.

  • Manage segmentation of assigned spend into sub commodity groups to create levers to achieve operational excellence.

  • Develop commodity strategies to meet organizational goals by improving Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while securing supply continuity through identifying and mitigating current and potential risks and opportunities in the commodity playbook.

  • Lead the execution of the commodity strategies through preferred supplier list (PSL).

  • Review analysis from Power BI and other tools to create insights into the drivers of assign commodity and possible effects to spend and cost projections to use as levers with our supply base.

  • Conduct regular business reviews (SRM) with important and strategic suppliers with teams and senior leadership.

  • Create presentations for supplier relationship management reviews, commodity playbooks, risk mitigation proposals, 4-Blockers, and supplier/commodity gap analysis.

  • Create plans to deliver annual results against metrics of payment terms, on-time delivery, productivity, inflation, and other metrics as determined by Procurement Leadership.

  • Research, track, and communicate industry trends, best practices, applicable indices, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage, and increased overall productivity

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of procurement experience

  • 5+ years of experience in negotiations including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development.

  • Experience with vendor management including purchase order issuance, execution, and administration.

  • Experience with Project ERP system (SAP or Ariba) or similar system in a global company.

  • Experience in industries with EPC projects preferred.
