The Role
As a Boarding & Day School Interview Mentor, you'll coach students through one of the most personal and high-stakes parts of the admissions process - the interview. Drawing on your firsthand experience in a school admissions office, you'll help students articulate their story, present with confidence, and walk into their interviews prepared. You'll work with a globally diverse student base, partnering closely with families and Crimson strategists to give each student the best possible shot at their target schools.
Who We're Looking For
  • Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a top 30 U.S. college.
  • Direct experience working in an admissions office at a competitive US boarding or day school is a must, including a proven track record of evaluating or supporting students through the admissions process. We will not progress your application without this.
  • Interview coaching or student-facing mentoring experience
  • At least 10 hours of availability per week
  • You're passionate about education and enjoy working with young people - ideally you've already got experience mentoring or coaching students
  • You're detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
  • You've got fantastic verbal and written communication skills

Required Qualities
  • Deep familiarity with elite boarding and day school admissions expectations, interview formats, and evaluation criteria
  • Ability to quickly identify and strengthen a student's personal narrative and presentation style
  • Warm, engaging energy when working with young students and their families
  • Effective interpretation of parent concerns and needs, with the ability to partner through challenging student situations
  • Vericant experience a plus!
