About the Role

We're looking for a UX Researcher to help shape AI-powered productivity experiences used by a broad and diverse customer base. In this role, you'll plan and lead research that uncovers user needs, evaluates product experiences, and informs meaningful product decisions.

You'll own studies from planning through final presentation, combining qualitative and quantitative methods to turn complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, researchers, and other partners throughout the product development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, design, and conduct end-to-end user research studies using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Identify research questions and select the most effective methods for addressing them.
  • Conduct usability studies, user interviews, surveys, benchmark studies, and unmoderated research.
  • Analyze research findings and translate them into clear insights and actionable product recommendations.
  • Present findings to cross-functional stakeholders and help teams apply the insights to product decisions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, researchers, and other partners throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Evaluate product experiences and identify opportunities to improve usability, accessibility, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct competitive research to understand industry trends, user expectations, and product positioning.
  • Use AI tools to support research workflows while critically evaluating outputs and maintaining research quality.
  • Manage multiple research projects and deliver high-quality findings within accelerated timelines.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience conducting UX, usability, or product research.
  • Experience applying both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Experience planning and managing research projects from initial scoping through analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently manage research activities while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience using AI tools to support research workflows and the judgment to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting UX benchmark studies or usability benchmarking.
  • Experience researching AI-powered products or intelligent user experiences.
  • Familiarity with usability metrics, customer-satisfaction measurement, and competitive analysis.

Compensation

At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.

For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated compensation range is $35.00 to $38.00 USD per hour. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final compensation and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications.
