Mountain Ltd. is seeking aย Fiber Layout Specialistย in theย New Gloucester, MEย area! Fiber Layout Specialist โ€“Telecom Design Support Mountain Ltd. is seeking a Fiber Layout Specialist to support ongoing telecom network design and records reconciliation efforts for a major fiber provider. This role will focus on fiber layout creation, splice planning support, and validation of network records across multiple systems, including Vetro and legacy mapping platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in telecom fiber design, GIS-based mapping systems, or outside plant records management. Experience with Vetro is preferred but not required. This position requires reporting to a designated office location due to secured system and laptop access requirements. Responsibilities

  • Create and update fiber layouts and splice plans within Vetro
  • Review and validate fiber routing information across multiple telecom systems
  • Cross-reference network data between Vetro, legacy records systems, spreadsheets, and circuit databases
  • Identify available fiber paths and validate continuity between splice locations and central office facilities
  • Support cleanup and reconciliation efforts resulting from legacy system migration into Vetro
  • Work within SiteTracker to review project assignments, provisioning information, and construction milestones
  • Generate splice planning documentation and contractor-ready deliverables
  • Track and document records discrepancies, fallout splice cases, and missing circuit information
  • Coordinate with internal engineering and records teams to resolve mapping inconsistencies
  • Maintain accurate records and updates within tracking spreadsheets and design systems
  • Participate in training and workflow development as systems continue to evolve and improve

  • Experience in telecommunications, fiber engineering, OSP design, GIS mapping, or network records management
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple software platforms simultaneously
